The Mark Stodola for Mayor Campaign today announced a new television advertisement focusing on Stodola’s experience fighting crime in Little Rock. The 30 second ad is set to begin airing this weekend on television stations in Little Rock.

The ad begins with a reference to the high murder rate the city is experiencing this year. According to a recent study ranking America’s safest and most dangerous cities, Little Rock was ranked as the 25th most dangerous city in the country, this according to Morgan Quitno Press, which provides state and city rankings by various categories.

The reduction of Little Rock’s high murder rate as well as the high incidences of other violent crimes will be Mayor Stodola’s top priority. Mark Stodola is the only candidate in the race for Little Rock Mayor with hands on experience tackling Little Rock’s reoccurring crime problems. As Prosecuting Attorney, Mark Stodola shut down a record number of drug houses and successfully battled the gang problem of the mid 1990’s.

“In order to become the next great City in the South we must do a better job of making our neighborhoods safe. This is critical to our efforts to foster economic development and new jobs.” Stodola said. Added Stodola, “Our City is at a crossroads, we can either tackle the violent crime problem head on, or we can sit back and watch as our streets and neighborhoods become more dangerous. As the former Prosecuting Attorney of Pulaski County I have the experience to make our neighborhoods and streets a place where people can live and work without fear of violence occurring.”

Details of his action plan to reduce crime will be unveiled in the near future, Stodola said.
